About Al Abbas Educational Complex

The Al Abbas Educational Complex is a purpose-built academic and residential facility established to support the educational, social, and moral development of students from underprivileged and low-income families. The foundation of the building was laid in May 2019, and the entire structure was completed in June 2022. The complex consists of five floors, including an academic basement, administrative block, and separate residential floors for boys and girls.

The Al Abbas Educational Complex was established to provide holistic academic, social, and moral development for students from underprivileged and low-income families. By sponsoring 50% of the costs for every student, and providing full scholarships for orphans and high achievers, the Trust ensures access to quality education, accommodation, and guidance in a supportive, purpose-built facility.

The Al Abbas Educational Complex was established to address the critical need for quality education among underprivileged, orphan, and low-income families in Baltistan. Our story began with the laying of the foundation in May 2019, driven by the vision to create an educated, ethical, and morally strong community.

The basement is designated as the Academic Block, the educational heart of the complex.

Key Facilities:

  • 1 large multipurpose hall

  • 7 classrooms

Active Uses: This block is actively used for a wide range of activities, including:

  • Academic classes and Lectures

  • Evening tuition

  • Study circles

  • Prayer (Namaz)

  • Majlis and Milad gatherings

  • Educational and community events

The Admin Block, situated on the ground floor, serves as the main operational and community hub.

Key Facilities:

  • Main administrative offices

  • Dining area

  • Fully functional kitchen

Safety and Discipline: Separate entrance gates are provided for boys and girls to ensure discipline, privacy, and safety throughout the complex.

The first floor is dedicated to the male students, ensuring a safe and fully equipped living environment.

Accommodation & Supervision:

  • 10 rooms, accommodating 4 students in each room

  • One floor monitor supervising the level

Amenities & Support: All essential items—including bedding, cupboards, electricity, water, and heating—are provided by Al Abbas Trust. A dedicated computer lab is also available on this floor for additional learning and skill development.

The second and third floors are exclusively allocated for female students, providing dedicated and safe accommodation.

  • One female in-charge

Commitment to Equality: All girls receive the same high standard of facilities, supervision, and comfort as the boys, ensuring a supportive living and learning environment.

Support for Orphans

If an orphan student receives an external sponsor: The Trust continues covering 50%, and The sponsor covers the other 50% This means orphan students receive full free education, accommodation, and meals.

Student Capacity & Financial Support

The complex can accommodate up to 120 students. Al Abbas Trust follows a compassionate support structure: Parents contribute 50% of the total fee Al Abbas Trust sponsors the remaining 50%

Scholarship Programs

Al Abbas Trust offers three types of scholarships, ensuring equal access to education
for deserving students across Baltistan:

Students from Biangsa or Ghoyongo communities who score 80% or above receive:

  • Full scholarship sponsored by their community

This includes free accommodation, tuition, and facilities.

Students from the Braldo Valley (Tiston to Tasty villages), which is considered an academically underdeveloped region, receive:

  • 50% fee support (standard trust support)
  • PLUS an additional PKR 2,000 scholarship

This makes education even more accessible for this region.

Students from anywhere in Baltistan achieving 90% or above in their exams are awarded:

  • Full 100% scholarship
  • Free boarding, lodging, academic support, and tuition

This program recognizes excellence and encourages high academic performance across the region.

Students from Biangsa or Ghoyongo communities who score 80% or above receive:

  • Full scholarship sponsored by their community

This includes free accommodation, tuition, and facilities.

Ensuring a Guided, Structured, and Nurturing Environment

Holistic Student Development & Daily Life

In the evenings, the Trust arranges subject-wise tuition classes for:

  • Class 8th up to 2nd Year (Intermediate)
  • Boys and girls separately

Qualified teachers are appointed for each subject, ensuring personalized academic support. A dedicated **Academic Incharge** monitors student discipline, study performance, and overall academic progress.

A resident Islamic Scholar leads daily prayers and provides:

  • Islamic lectures
  • Moral development sessions
  • Religious guidance

This helps students build strong character alongside academic achievement.

Students receive three meals daily and two tea breaks. All meals are freshly prepared by qualified kitchen staff.
